I just found 2 of these 1 looked like jusst the yolk and the other looked like a whole egg just no shell and rubbery what does it mean?I give them osyter shell in a seprate feeding bowl.

Well, it happens, especially with new layers... and they need to be eating the oyster shell in order to get the calcium. I always have mine out their free choice and I also mix it with their layer feed... and I still get a shell-less one every now and again.

This happens once in a while. I've got 2 year old and 9 month old girls and every once in a while I get an egg without a shell. I give mine oyster shell and they free range most of the day, so I've just learned that it's part of chicken laying.

I can't believe I came across this post! Just tonight one of my girls laid a shell - less egg! They get the oyster shell mixed with their feed, and they are free ranging daily... I thought maybe somebody plopped one right on the floor and it broke, leading the girls to eat the shell and I only got there when the yolk was left, but now I know better!

Stress can also cause this to happen. It's usually just a fluke, though.

and today I cleaned the whole coop out changed all the bedding out. That always causes the kids to be stressed. The big girls are always scared and the little bantams follow me around.
