shell-less egg

I have one laying hen that lays in the nest box every day. I have another hen that I adopted who hasn't laid all winter and a young pullet 19 weeks. This morning when I checked the coop I had the nest box egg and some yellow goop under the roost as well as dripping from the roost. It appears to be an egg that was either shell less or cracked and now frozen. It was weird it was laid on the roost bar and then I came across this thread. Could it be just the young pullet just starting, or was it too cold (-10 last night} and they are stressed ( although the other hen laid a fine egg as usual.}. They eat layer feed and have oyster shell and snack on cheese sticks.Too much salt??
