Hey yall, so I posted a couple weeks back about one of my hens having an egg pop on it's way out if my hen. I have her inside as I wanted to watch to make sure she didn't get an infection. She had a few soaks in an Epsom bath, and she seems fine. The problem is that she still isn't forming a hard shell. About 48 hrs or so after being brought in, she laid another small soft egg, and then about 48 hours after that, another one. She went on a hiatus for a bit, and finally laid another one that busted last night. My flock is on an all flock diet, with oyster shells on the side. When we brought Lucille in on medical, we got her a special bag of food thst is high protein +calcium, and she still has oyster shells on the side. She's clearly getting calcium in her diet, but still not producing shells. She hatched last year at thr end of may/beginning of June. Her hatching mom went broody the day before mother's day last year. She's not old, nor young as she's been laying almost a year now. Is there a medical condition that causes chickens not to be able to break calcium down and apply it properly? Her diapers tend to be on the watery side, and honestly, I could pour it down my sink as I wash her diaper if I chose to (don't worry, I dump it outside before washing the diapers) but there is a grittiness to the poo. What do yall think is causing her not to produce shells?

Photos of her and her poop?

What is the special food? Name of product or photo of the label?

What do you normally feed?

If I have a hen that is having problems with a soft shelled egg, I give her 1tablet of Calcium Citrate+D3 once daily for 5-7days to see if that will firm up the shells. Just pop the tablet into the beak and let her swallow.

When was the last time she was dewormed?

There are many things that can affect production, so it's hard to know what's causing her issues.
