I could try putting her in a cup with a damp paper towel under the heating pad. One major problem though is o don’t even have a thermometer

Nope. None. And the neirbors hate us. I could see if I could get one later.

Run to Walmart and get an aquarium thermometer. They're dirt cheap and accurate.

Try not to have wet paper towel actually touching her, just near. Maybe wet the blankets a bit?

The heat pad would work just cover the bowl to keep the heat and humidity in and put it in a warn draft free place.

I put her in the bowl and now the vasilene has really soaked in the membrane and I can see her veins and yolk really clearly. She is definitely not ready to hatch. From what I can see, she is black or dark gray. I love this chick so much. I hope she makes it through.

Also humidity here is at about 70 today so I don’t think humidity should be a huge problem
