Shell sticking to egg

The shell of our hard boiled eggs seem to be sticking more to the whites than store bought eggs.

Anybody else experience this? Solution?

You are experiencing fresh eggs for the first time in your life! Either let them sit out on the counter a week or two before boiling them, or put a LOT of salt in the water when you cook them.

That happens with fresh eggs. I usually save some for a few weeks in the fridge before I boil them.

I steam them... even if they were layed that day! Perfect everytime

Yes from new layers. Only been laying for two weeks.

My shells were HORRIBLE at peeling the first few weeks. It’s just because their bodies are ‘learning’ how to make good eggs. Give it some time, they’ll be like storebought.

X2! 15 minutes in a steamer, straight into ice water to cool=perfectly cooked & super easy to peel!

I swear by steaming them,
then an ice water dip(this makes the contents shrink away from shell).

It has nothing to do with age of birds or length of time bird has been laying.

Older eggs, week or two after laying, might help.
