In the past three months I have encountered three shelless eggs. I have started feeding them dried and crushed egg shells, but it still seems to keep happening occcassionally? Do I need to get the oyster shells or am I just not giving them enough of the egg shells?

How old are your girls? It may just be that they are pullets, and still trying to adjust their laying cycle properly.

Also, do they get any greens at all?

They are getting close to a year old now. They get to free range all day, but I generally don't have too many scrap greens (if that is what you mean).
Weird thing is....it's like they know it is gonna be a retard egg cause they lay it in the run instead of the box.
I need to run to town today...so I thought if they definately needed the oyster shells I would get some, but if not then I wanted to save myself the expense.

I always offer oyster shells free choice. This was recommended to me by an aviary expert. I figure why take a chance at losing a chicken from not having enough. It's not that expensive.
