You could try all kinds of stuff, some searching will find them, but I don't have much faith in those. I tried with one softie layer, didn't do a damn bit of good.
Have a hen now that laid some softies, and then laid a couple massively thick shelled chunk of an egg. Since I got rid of 4 other hens, she is laying nice eggs again. Have no idea why, she always laid torpedo eggs at first and has some other odd issues. <shrugs>
