Apparently you have the early hatch coturnix

My first ones from you hatched a couple of days earlier than expected.
The second set of freebie extras you sent me with the buttons are hatching right now with the buttons .

Silly quail.
They are so full of suprizes.
Looks like I'll finally be able to turn the 'bator off this week . No more hatching planned until I get my own home produced eggs.

So those are early too? Silly birds! Another person I sent button eggs to (two people, I think) had the buttons hatch on day 19 or later. My birds are all confused!

6 buttons , 4 coturnix . Maybe done, I'll leave the others a few days to be sure.
shelleyd2008 I have another one of your white buttons and another tux coturnix. The tux coturnix has multicolored toes , middle ones pink the rest black. VERY cute. Will have to see if it stays that way as it grows.

Yep, 6 coturnix & a dozen buttons. I don't think there'll be more. Remember there were damaged eggs so I think the p.o. was a little rougher this time around. None of the glued eggs hatched but it was worth a try.
I'm happy with the hatch

Ok I have to ask.... Glued eggs? Were they major cracks? What type of glue? Have you done this and it worked? Just Curious at the concept. In research studies they open up the eggs and mess with them then put them back together to hatch. I find it amazing!

Major cracks.
Super glue.
Never done before but thought it was worth a try.
I'll crack the eggs tomorrow and see if they even started to develope or if they were totally scrambled from shipping.
