shells too hard

I just came inside from building her a nursery. My other chick including my roo she mothered and took care of from from 3 days old. She was only 2 months at the time .
So I wanted her to sit on the eggs, but she wouldn't, so her I am camped by the incubator.

Thank you ronott1, this is why I belong to this site,
so much to learn, some of which one would never think about until it is brought to their attention. I do love learning about my chickens, and while I knew chicks had an egg tooth, I am afraid I have never really thought about what happened to it after the chick used it to get out of the egg!
