two dogs (still puppies, but big) got to my chickens and got a hold of two of my hens, both of which survived with only bumps and bruises, and this one is finally starting to grow back her tail--there was only one tail feather left!

well the dogs belong to my sister-in-law--they had followed her kids up to my house--nobody was there, we were all at grandma's just through the woods. of course her kids weren't supposed to be wandering through the woods to my house (that's a whole different story). anyway, the two dogs didn't have evil intentions, they were just puppies who found some new and exciting toys. we all ran back up to my house and my sister-in-law got her dogs and there was some yelling and kicking involved on her part. they haven't been back up to my house since, (and they hadn't ever come before-) i think now they've either figured out not to come again, or they're too dumb to figure out how to come back. either way is fine with me of course...but we have a shotgun now to scare off any unwanted guests (animal guests, that is
