Oh i tell Star all the time with the other girls around her that she is my favorite. I love her.

A crop is generally not squishy if it's empty.

Drinking a lot of water sounds like the bird is trying to clear something - could be impacted gizzard. Checking the crop is in order.

I agree the excessive drinking could be trying to clear her crop or gizzard. It could also be something else. I have one who gets ascites when she is in lay (so I keep her on hormones to prevent that). She drinks excessively when she is gaining fluid in her abdomen. Can you che k if you girl is bloated in the abdomen (fluffy butt) area?
