My guineas will let me pick them up and take treats from my hand. Do NOT tell them they are actually supposed to be crazed maniacs and run for dear life from me! Here they are thinking they're one of the gals...

I have one guinea that was raised with chickens and he is pretty friendly. My other 10 guineas that were raised by themselves are maniacs.

I even tried once to put the single guinea with the flock figuring he would want to be with his own kind and he paced up and down the run all day wanting to be let back in.

I wish my guinea would not be so afraid of me. Most of my chickens are pretty tame, but I try to throw him bread and he scatters in fear.

Wild Maniacs sounds right to me. They are crazy. But I love them. They keep you on your toes. LOL

Jackie, they are beautiful! What's your secret? How did you raise them to be so friendly. I may buy some guineas next spring....and I really like all my birds to be friendly.
