You have to be very very careful around chickens. Some folks claim they are addictive. I am going to withhold judgement until I know for sure. As a child we had all kinds of livestock and birds that supplemented our food budget and most meals were based entirely on things we had grown or raised on our small farm. Flash forward 50 plus years. My father had just passed and I had moved my mother into our home. One evening while reminiscing she commented on how nice it was when we had chickens. So with that I started with the intent to get 3 or 4 laying hens. Now at little over two years later I have 58 birds and an incubator filled with eggs due to hatch two days before Chickenstock. Now some folks might take that as an indication of a serious addiction, but an addiction is something you can't quit doing and I'm sure I could quit anytime I wanted to. I think, maybe, probably.

I hope you do decide to come to Chickenstock and stay all day. You will meet some incredibly nice folks. I can attest to the fact as to how wonderful they all are because they even put up with me. If you click on the link in my signature line you will find information and updates about Chickenstock. From there you can easily navigate to links for maps, buy/sell items, attendance signup, food list etc. I'll look forward to meeting you and I'll be easy to spot, I'm the old man in a cowboy hat.

I agree, and since you are the old man with the cowboy hat, that makes you right, right? Yep. I know I will be able to stop anytime I want to stop. anytime at all. I just never want to.
