Dexter walked a little faster hoping to quickly catch up with the rabbit. He didn't realize that another wolf was nearby, though he figured Sofia was behind him.

Seeing that whatever wolf that was coming was taking too long, still whimpering, he lifted his head and started licking his injured leg. He occasionally raised his whimpering to show what he was doing was hurting really badly, but he kept licking like it was necessary.
