Mashi wandered around, bored, and a bit sad. The longer he thought about it, the more he realized maybe he shouldn't be in a pack. He still hadn't even met Shining's Pack leaders.

Storm lay in the bush he had hollowed out in camp. He tried not to move so the wounds Aleksey had given him wouldn't start hurting again.

Mashi continued along, still not showing any signs of pain even as his paw was broken and the blood still ran down his body. He scented another wolf and headed that direction.

"Try again!" Carya shouted at her brother, Eagle. He did as she said and launched himself at her yet again. Carya easily stepped out of the way with a smirk, "You still can't catch me, even after all these years," she sighed. Eagle skidded to an ungraceful stop, "No, I can't." He panted in agreement, "But maybe I can get at least a little better?" Eagle said hopefully. Carya glanced at the sun's shadows, "I need to go," she told him, "Maybe practice your battle skills on a rabbit." Carya flashed Eagle a smile over her shoulder before trotting into the forest.

Eagle knew she hadn't ment him to literally practice on a rabbit, but he went to find one anyway. I'll never improve if I don't practice more, he thought.

Aleksey nearly dropped by a small creek. He was worn out from all his running. He laid on his side trying to get his breath for a second, then crawled over to lap up some of the cool water. He was rather pathetic looking, laying on his side lapping up water. But he had ran all day, so he was pretty tired.
