Shipped Eggs arriving monday....then what?

Hi all

After my first hatch (100% yay!) last thursday - I am already planning my next one.....ably helped by the fact that one of my other hens has gone broody!! jealous of the new chicks i think! I have ordered some black silkie eggs from ebay and hope to receive them on monday......broody hen is already in her newly created box sitting on one infertile egg.......what do i do when the silkie eggs arrive....i know i need to let them sit for awhile.....but how long....in what position and at what temperature?

Room temp, big end (air cell) up in a carton. Let set for at least 8 hours. Its good you have your hen ready she should except the eggs with great pleasure. Best of luck.

Room temperature for minimum 12 hours up to 24 hours works well. Keep us updated!
