Shipped eggs broken...

I searched for Bob eggs online to hatch out and was looking for a hatchery within the state, I had 18 out of 24 hatch, I think that is AMAZING especially since 2 that didnt hatch werent fertile and two died for some reason or another but yeah amazing hatch rate, I recommend a buy from a close seller if it doesnt have as far to ship your hatch rates are more likely to be high. The farther they go the more handling they require. No one at USPS cares if the box says "eggs enclosed" or "fragile"

I received an order of eggs from ILOVEFRIZZLES a few days ago, and even though one corner of the box was totally stoved in all the eggs arrived intact!

SO, even if I have a poor hatch from all the jarring the box obviously went through, I will not blame it on ILOVEFRIZZLES because she packed the box with obvious care.

I also have received a box with gaping holes in it and not one broken egg because it was packed well and with care. I do not hold the seller responsible for a poor hatch if the box was well packed and the eggs arrive intact. I assume the PO jarred the heck out of it or it was x-rayed.

I do get upset, however, when the eggs are packed poorly and arrive broken and the seller does a too bad so sad routine. Shouldn't sell eggs if you can't pack a box. Most good sellers in my experience will offer replacements for shipping costs. One even replaced eggs totally for free at his expense. I have the sweetest dark brahmas from him!

I got some buff silkie eggs from WA 8 days ago, and 9 out of 14 are growing. Pretty pleased with that! WA to NY and no cracked eggs.
