Shipped Eggs Question,

I have some eggs arriving on Tuesday. Just found out that we close on our new homestead on Wednesday...I will put them in the incubator then.... I guess my silly question is will one more day out of the incubator hurt them?? I am relatively new to hatching eggs.

Depends. Fertile eggs are viable for 10 days and then their viability sharply decreases. Also, shipped eggs have a 50% habitability hatch.

I think your eggs will be ok! I had shipped eggs delivered however I let them sit Out of the incubator with the pointy end down for 24 hours before putting them in the incubator. Just take the eggs out of the packaging and place them in a egg carton pointy end down until Wednesday. This will give the air cells a chance to set too. Then on Wednesday place the eggs in a warmed up incubator.
I did this with mine and 6 out of 10 eggs are developing nicely and are on day 17 now.

It is actually better for the shipped eggs to sit undisturbed for a day or two in 60-65 degs if possible to rest and reset the air cells. Good luck with the hatch and the new homestead!

agree with the others x 3 eggs will be fine keep kinda warm do not juggle

Thank you all. They actually arrived early! I let them sit out and put them in the incubator this morning. Crossing fingers...
