I received 6 black cochin bantam eggs today & am expecting to receive two other egg shipments tomorrow.

Should I put the eggs that I got today in the veggie crisper (or somewhere else a bit cooler) & put them all in together or put them in as I get them?

If I wait & put them all in together, will that help make them all hatch at roughly the same time?

I know that the longer I wait, I risk lowering my hatch rate, but I really don't want to deal with a bigger staggered hatch than I'm dealing with now. I have one in lock-down & 7 Maran eggs on day 13.

Curse the US Postal service & their timing.......

If it was me I would let the ones you received today rest small end down in an egg carton somewhere cool so the air sacs can settle. Then tomarrow when the rest come I would get them out and set them in an egg carton and let them set for 8-12 hours then put all in the incubator at the same time if you put them in a day apart it will make lock down a little more difficult.

Yes if you put them in together they will hatch fairly close together with in a couple of days. You have 7-10 days from the time they was laid to get them in the bator, before affecting the hatch rate. I would definitely let the air sac settle though b/c it gets displaced sometimes during shipping which will then likely not hatch if it is unable to settle back to the top before incubated.
