Shipped Eggs

Hello, Im new to this and have a question about shipped eggs. I purchased some eggs last week (Wednesday) and they were supposed to be shipped last Thursday. I still havent received them yet and was wondering how long they will last before I need to get them in my bator???

With shipped eggs, I would think 7 to 10 days old would be about has old as they should go.
I personally would like them under 7 days old.
I'd still give them a try no matter what because you never know.
Folks have had successful hatches from their own eggs beyond those days but the eggs have not gone through the rigors of shipping.

The mortality rate increases after day 5 & after 10 hatching chances are very slim. I hope you get them tomorrow!

First off, they should have not gone out on a Thursday. They would be out durring the weekend and that is no good.


Secondly, if it is flat rate or standard USPS... my eggs go out on Mondays or Tuesdays and arrive Thurs or Friday... no matter how far. So that is 4 days. Thursday....Friday... Saturday...Monday...

Tommarrow you should get them.

Good luck! Don't get down about them being out for the weekend... it doesn't mean it is impossible to hatch them!
