Shipped vs. Hatched

Hi, All. I recently bought four shipped Silkies (not sure of the hatchery, though I can find out) a few days before hatching out two in the 'bator (was hoping for more, but...).

I know the chicks I bought were 24 hours old, and they far exceeded my hatched chicks in overall health and vigor. For example, while the bought chicks were eating right away, my now 3-day-old chicks are still getting the hang of eating, drinking and not rolling over onto their backs. Is this generally true of hatched vs. shipped, or did I just do a lousy job incubating?

Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure, I'm no expert my any means, but my chicks out of the bator were strong and eating well and running around the next day. Same as any day old chicks I buy from a hatchery. Sorry I can't help or give suggestions, just giving you a little info.
