Hi, All. I recently bought four shipped Silkies (not sure of the hatchery, though I can find out) a few days before hatching out two in the 'bator (was hoping for more, but...).
I know the chicks I bought were 24 hours old, and they far exceeded my hatched chicks in overall health and vigor. For example, while the bought chicks were eating right away, my now 3-day-old chicks are still getting the hang of eating, drinking and not rolling over onto their backs. Is this generally true of hatched vs. shipped, or did I just do a lousy job incubating?
Thanks in advance!
