Shipping Chicks in the Summer

I am thinking about ordering some chicks but is it too dangerous to have chicks shipped in the summer months?
 
Completely anectdotal, but I just received a bunch in the mail today - it was mid-nineties all week, and they all came through fine.

Long as you choose a shipping date without a huge temp spike. Have some
Nutri-Drench or Nutri-Drops on hand when they arrive to give them a
