Shipping day old chicks

Are chicks shipped all year round to the north or is that just for warmer southern climates?

Hatching season is in the Spring months for hatcheries and breeders...Can't be too hot or too cold they will perish...

I call Meyer today, and they said November 10th was there last hatch. I am considering ording some Friday. Most of what they have left is discounted.

At this point it's difficult to find the breeds you really want, most hatcheries are sold out of everything until next year. *Sigh,* guess I'll just have to wait...

I have an order of 25 coming from Meyer, hopefully tomorrow. I thought this was there last ship date, but there is apparently one more.

Try Welp Hatchery, I'm getting an order from them in mid November.

Most hatcheries have sold out of most chicks until feb. Some still offer assortments of whatever they have left. You probably get a lot of extra packing peanut roos if you order when it's cold out.
