Shipping eggs Please read if you have shipped eggs

Can anyone give me a step by step process that they use to ship eggs? Pictures would help alot! Thank you

Everyone has a different approach, me, lots of bubble wrap,1st a 12x12x8 box, add plastic grocery bags made a nest that go's up the sides place a lg square of bubble wrap in the nest, wrap each egg twice in bubble wrap place in nest, gather corners more bags stuffed around so eggs are snug and don't move around, tape box ,done

1. Collect the eggs at least 2-3 times a day.
2. Store them in a climate controlled area, preferably in an egg turner.
3. Sell eggs.

4. Cut strips of bubble wrap to wrap eggs in.
5. Wrap each egg in a strip of bubble wrap and tape up.
6. Take a group of eggs and wrap them together in another layer of bubble wrap. Tape that up.
7. Tape up the bottom of the box (I use a 12x12x8 box).
8. Fill box 1/2 way up with crumbled paper, shredded paper, or polyfil. Please don't use peanuts. They move around too much.
9. Place eggs on top of paper.
10. Use more paper to fill in around the edges of the egg package.
11. Fill up the rest of the box. It should overflow with paper.
12. Close the top of the box, tape shut.
13. Attach shipping label.
14. Label box with permanent marker with "Fragile" "Contains Eggs for Hatching" "Live Embryos" "Do Not X-Ray" "Protect from Extreme Temperatures" and whatever else you feel you need to include.
15. Take to Post Office.

I've shipped twice, but had good success both times.
I line the bottom of the box with either air pillows from Amazon or packing peanuts (the foam kind, not chicks). I wrap each egg in foam plastic like they use to protect furniture legs. I wrap them like I'm folding the American flag, so they come out looking like fat pirate hats.
I put in layer or two of wrapped eggs cushioned with peanuts and I top with another air pillow so everything's just a bit bigger than the box. I smush it down, tape it shut, and write "Live Embryos" on the box.

I have shipped eggs for 15 years with good results. I use paper egg cartons and put eggs in and then fill with sawdust or wood shavings and deut tape shut very tight. Pack in box very tight. I can get 4 doz in a flat rate priolity box.
