ok like a month ago i bought some eggs online and i got them the next day and none where broken. and soon as i got them they went into the bator. now that there bout to hatch i read that you are supposed to let them set for at least 24 hours before incubation. OK so when i went in to lock down only 7 where good out of 24 where good. is this because i didnt let them set????? i wanna know for next time. this was my first time incubating eggs..

There are so many factors.
We need more information first,
Like Humidity
How many times a day turned (Bye hand or by egg rack)
temperature,
still air or forced
did you candle for any cracks in the eggs
or broken air sacs?

i have a aoutomatic turner and its a still air and i candled some but idk what to look for
