Shipping eggs thru the mail

Hey everyone,

Anyone ever send eggs to another state via the us mail? My mom took some home with her when she came to visit and i wanted to send her some more. Are there any special care when sending them? Are there state regs that i must follow first?
any help will be greatly appreciated.

I ship using the Post Office "Flat Rate" Priority Mail boxes but you can use any box you want.
I've shipped all over the continental US.
No special docs or permits necessary.
You can write "Fragile" on the box; but I'm not sure if it matters much.
Just make sure the eggs are wrapped well and not too tight.
