Well There is a BYCer on here with some drakes for sale - she said she would consider shipping them if we could find the laws for her state.

Well Ive googled and all I seem to be getting is
" Shipping wine" or "hunting laws"

SO does anyone know the laws for shipping adult waterfowl out of massachusetts?

Ptssss no one has to know that they are water fowl.

The laws are simply the same as other states.

They have to be shipped in a certified poultry shipping box with the filters attached.
Express shipping.

Couple of things to note..........Right now is not a good time with the summer temperatures. Many areas won't accept adult birds if the temps are too warm.

Like Shay20 said, you will need one of the USPS approved shipping containers........there are currently two different approved suppliers of them. A typical 2-3 bird box will run you around $15. Two birds (using Call ducks as an example) shipped (Express Mail) from Mass would run around $42-44, that is only the shipping.

If you go to the link below, it has two separate sections for you to look at, "FedEx lives" and "air transportation availability" This will tell you if they can ship them to you. I will say that it is still best to check with the local postmaster to insure the list is up to date.

It is fairly simple and I will give a thumbs up to USPS and FedEx for the work they do.
