I dont do much shipping, but what box do you all buy to ship adults in?
The boys have lost their tails so they will fit in a shipping box now.
I am starting a pen renovation project soon and I want thin out the flock. I am going to offer several adult breeders for sale and would like to have boxes on hand.

If anyone is looking for some nice adult breeders, I'll compile a list and photos soon.

http://www.boxesforbirds.com/ This site's got a few nice boxes. Most of them you'll have to judge the size you need

http://www.hm-e.net/A_chickens.htm more boxes! They are a bit expensive.

http://poultry2.tripod.com/id3.html These guys have a single stall box that fits "up to 10lbs of bird" and peafowl should weigh close to that without their trains. Don't know about the size though.

I'm sure people who actually ship could give you a specific box that's better to use, I'm just grabbing info from what I've looked at while researching what it takes to ship.

I am interested

Horizon is where to get the boxes to ship peafowl I use the omni and the swan box I buy them by the large cases they are cheaper and it free shipping but I ship alot of birds. The omni can ship 2 adult peafowl and the swan box will hold 3.

Horizons Swan nesting box is what we use to ship adults. Its the biggest shipping box they make.

USPS and Delta accept this box with no problem.

We did like Doug mentioned. Bought in quantity by the case. Almost $400 (maybe more now) the year before last. But they have lasted.
