I have a person who wants to buy two yearling male peacocks from me I am in PA and they are in NY, I told them that I have an Horizon shipping box that I received a yearling a couple years ago it size is 16x16x16 they say that I can ship the pair to them in this box. I would like some opinions on this box as I think it would be to small and the two yearlings would exceed the weight of box.
I have never shipped any live birds before and I spent an hour at my local post office today trying to see if they could ship them they have never shipped any live bird before either. After a few phone calls got the ok to ship from there my local post master said it would be 2 days shipping but she called a few other post offices in area and if I drive 15 miles to a different post office they say it would be overnight from there to the zip code but that post office has never shipped any live birds either. When and if I ship the birds I just want to be able to go and ship with no problems.

think thats too small for yearling this time of the year(almost grown)

i would also drive the 15 mile for overnight.....remember place cut up fruit in the box in place of water, i also wright address on the box with phone number, just in case the label come off.
