Shop Coop?

So our little chickies have grown up enough that they are ready to go in to the coop, but we have a problem we don't have a place for the coop just yet. We are fencing in some of the side yard so that I can have my own yard for chickens and gardening and DH and dogs can have theirs. It will be another 2 weeks before I get time off work to put up the fence which leaves us in the predicament of finding a temporary safe place for the coop. Backyard is not an option because as much a we have worked with our dogs, a GSP and a mutt I don't trust them and I don't trust the neighbor kids so it can't go in front.
The one place that seems best is DH mechanic shop with has a little storage yard that would be safe for the coop and run as far as predators but I worry about the asphalt not being good for the chickies as well as the loud noises. Can someone reassure me that they will be OK for 2 weeks or if there is a problem what it is and how can I remedy it.
The coop is 6X4 and the run is 6X10 and we will be keeping 4 chickens out of the 8 chicks that we have brooded I will post pics of coop when I have time.

Your babies will be just fine on asphalt for a while.

I wouldn't leave them out there in the heat of the summer to roast - but I'm guessing Utah isn't too hot yet @ this time of year.

Even if it is in the 80's they will be fine as long as they have water.

Don't let them skateboard though unless you get them helmets!

I can't say anything about it because My brooder is in my shop and when I was working in there they were just feet away from me and the power tools and now they are in the big coop which is just on the other side of the tin wall so they still hear the tools running and everything, they don't show any signs of jumpiness or anything so at this point they seem to be doing ok.
now later I have been playing classic heavy metal since the day I put them in the brooder so that may have helped.
