Shorewood, Il- are chickens legal?

I cannot find anything about raising chickens in Shorewood. I live in town in a subdivision. I want to start raising chickens for eggs (& bug control lol). I have searched but cannot find anything on the town site about them. I see a Will Co. Post that says they are allowed in Will co but know each town is different. Anyone know for sure before I contact the village? Or PD?
