Short cute humorous brooder story.

[Compost King]

One of my chicks in the brooder picked up a piece of shredded paper and started running around with it for about 3 minutes. about 10 other chicks were chasing him/her as if he had something they wanted. Eventually he got tired and let it go and the other chicks went to fighting over it before they realized it was just the same piece of paper they are walking and pooping on. These little guys and gals are so entertaining to watch.

There's nothing better than a game of Keep Away to keep the birds entertained! When they get larger, they'll play that same game with things they consider treats.

If you really want to see them tussle over something then give them a pinkie baby mouse to play keep away with. You will certainly like the amount of energy and pizazz that your chicks will display but I am unsure if the mouse will find it as rewarding as you will.
