Should a #3256 electronic thermostat work in a HovaBator?

I got a #3256 Electronic thermostat that is used in the GQF cabinet model incubators, planning to make an incubator out of an old frig. Then I got a chance to buy 2 older Hovabator styrofoam incubators with the wafer thermostats. I put a new wafer in one but the temperature still seems to fluctuate an awful lot. Can I use this thermostat in the smaller Hovabator? Does anyone sell replacement electronic thermostats for them?

I called GQF and got a replacement thermostat directly from them for a hovabator.

eta - don't know if that one will work in a hova.
