should I leave them settle a bit before putting them in the bator or just put em in??

Let them settle/come up to room temp. I let mine settle for 8 hours.

Yes, they should be allowed to settle for 6-8 hours.

I usually let mine sit overnight. No real scientific reason just what I do.
