I bought a black bantam cochin from Tractor Supply back in March. This week he crowed (lol he is so serious as he strains to get out that crow) so I know I have a roo. My question is whether it is "normal" for him to have a strawberry comb. He is a gorgeous little black with the blue highlights but I thought the cochin should have single comb. He does have feathered feet so is not a regular bantam. I am wondering if he is a hybrid rather than a pure bred though.
Also, is there any easy way to sex silkies? I bought one at the same time as this cochin and they are good friends. I have two younger partridge silkies too. I am not sure of the sex on any of the silkies.
