I have a duckling that has broken through the shell on his own, I waited awhile and took off some of the egg for him around where his beak was he is very vocal and has been in the same position for 36 hours now, I know ot can take up to 48 hours I just don't want to be to late helping him if he really needs it. He is doing the yawning and sticking his tounge out which I read means he is still absorbing his egg yolk? What should I do

That's what I was thinking is that he pipped too early, he was doing a licking kind of noise last night but I'm not hearing it now
