Should I be concerned? They ate the sand bath?!

I put a pie pan of sand in for my quails to have a sand bath and then went to take care of my bees.... when I came back.... it's GONE! It looks like they ate all the sand. Are they going to be ok? I feel like that's A LOT of sand

How old are they? If they're adults, they should be fine, unless it was a type that clumps. Even then, they're probably fine. If they're chicks, I'd be more worried.

They probably splashed a lot of it around the pan. They're messy like that.

Wait a bit. They'll go somewhere and shake it all out of their feathers in a different spot.
