I'd be a little more concerned about fallen apples that are left to rot, but it's likely if they have access to them that they'd prefer to go after the good ones on their own instead. They're also probably not pecking an apple so deep that they can even get the seeds - not enough to be a serious problem anyway. A few bites, sure, but devouring an apple down to the core is a lot of work unless its super soft
