Should I be concerned?

I have 5 hens, 2 have recently started laying. My mallard who is the oldest hen is acting broody. I know mallards hide their eggs but I have searched and searched and can’t find any. And to my knowledge she hasn’t started laying again since she stopped in the fall. Can she go broody over another ducks eggs? Or could she be sick?

Sometimes chickens go broody without eggs. To be sure though check her wings, beak, feet, face, poop, vent, comb, and her torso area (includes her tail). If any of that seems odd and not right then post about it and that will give us a better idea. Thank you :)
