Hello...
One of my girls is currently 6 months old, I believe she is a leghorn.
2 weeks ago, she laid her first tiny white egg and nothing since.
Our other two have been consistent from day one.
Should I be concerned?
They are fed layina, oyster shells, plenty of water and are completely free range 7am-8pm. We are in the Bay Area, not too hot, not too cold, plenty of shade, they are not stressed. What is going on with her!?!
Thank you!

-also, i search our yard daily for hidden eggs.
haven't found any.

Leghorns are one of the earliest layers. If she is truly a leghorn, she's a late bloomer. As long as she's acting normally, I wouldn't worry too much.

i agree if she isn't showing any signs of illness then i'm pretty sure she is ok

My French Marans started out a little bumpy....an egg here and an egg there, until they got the kinks worked out! Now I get 2 fabulous dark brown eggs almost daily...

thank you!
still no eggs, from time to time she gets "crazy" and i think she is looking to lay, but nothing.
i just put her in coop, because she is having one of those days.
pecking on the glass door to try and get inside, jumping into planters she's never explores, being loud, running around.
i hope its not mean to put her in there, but she needs to sort herself out!

success!
after putting her in coop, she went crazy, then suddenly, there was silence.
she laid a beautiful teensie tiny perfect white egg!
i took her out and i gave her a cherry.
