Im sitting here with a big bag of peas in the pods and my male embden is greeding them, i would be very grateful if anybody could let me know if they are suitable for geese!

I wouldn't make it a habit to hand feed a goose or gander. Giving them as extras but placing them in a bowl or container on the ground for the geese to eat shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks for your help love your profile pic aswell thanks

I feed my geese and ducks snow pea pods (the kind you get in Chinese food) and they also eat all the plants at the end of the season when I pull them up. Plants and peas contain a lot of good protein.

Second the suggestion to not feed geese out of hand.

Why do people say not to feed geese out of your hand, i've heard this alot is it cos of biting? I wanted to try and tame them, its going well with the male but the female is too scared she freaks out everytime i pick her up. When we first got her all of the feathers had been plucked from her back she has a deformed foot aswell so i think the other birds had been picking on her. Thanks for welcoming me to BYC i love it already any questions i have people answer them, its great!
