Should I be worried???

my hen just started laying this week. today, I let the chickens out of the coop to range along with our Pekin Ducks. She digged a whole and is laying with it. I also noticed her comb is becoming pale. Should I be worried?

Is she trying to take a dust bath because I know my hens will try to dig a hole so they can take a dust bath.

TURNS OUT SHE ONLY LAID AN EGG. NO WORRIES. I thought hens had to be off the ground to lay though?
