So this is a rural king chick. Suppose to be an oe. She was missing almost all her baby feathers near her vent when we got her. She is slowly getting feathers in there, but she looks so raggedy. I know they go through an awkward stage between baby and adult feathers but I don't remember any of my others looking this bad. Also, anyone want to take a guess on her age?

Thanks! Any advice on getting her to tolerate being handled? I feel like she has PTSD from being at rural king for so long. We've had her for 2 weeks.

You can get her to trust you by offering treats in your hand.
