I recently got a 10 week old pullet. I introduced her to my flock and kept a really good eye on her the first day. There was a little bit of pecking, but otherwise nothing too crazy. She did seem a little timid as my other chickens are about four months old.
Today I noticed that she wouldn’t come out of the coop and stayed in kind of the same spot all day. Her wings were kind of puffed out, but I assume that’s because I live in Texas and it’s pretty warm. But I haven’t seen her come out of the coop to eat or drink. I brought her inside to keep an eye on her and see how she acts away from the others, but I don’t know if her behavior is from heat stress, or from some sort of respiratory distress. Videos attached below for you all to see.
