Should I block the box?

I have a broody hen. I was planning on getting some chicks and could try to sneak them under her but we want the chicks to be friendly and handled a lot and she is not a friendly chicken. Soooo, I am wondering if I block the nesting boxes off will she stop being broody on her own? I don't have a wire cage to put her in... We only have 2 chickens right now and the other one has yet to lay an egg at all so I don't think blocking the box would effect laying. I am really struggling with making the right chicken decisions right now. Could I give my broody just one chick and hand raise the other two? I know I would have to integrate then. Seems integration would be easiest if the chicken thinks they are her chicks but they are supposed to be pets so we want to play with them. Thoughts?
