should i buy state fair birds?

Im thinking of going to the Fair next weekend. Would love a report of the hens/chicks. Im looking for Blue egg layers. I would appreciate it if you would post a note if you see any. Thanks

Have you been out to the fair yet? I didn't see anything that looked like it would be in the $400 range -- in my opinion anyhow. We have 11 birds there right now. Judging for large fowl is this Saturday at 9 AM. The Bantams go in Tuesday and are judged on Friday. We'll have my daughter's silkies there next week.
