Should I buy this silkie cockerel?! ****PIC INCLUDED****

I was thinking about buying this cockerel. Its about 9 months old and she'll sell it to me for 40$. She says the only reason its not SQ is because its comb is too big. The breeder is deb from fawkes silkies. So should I buy him? Please respond quickly, I am currently emailing her. Thanks everyone.

Maybe its just the picture, but it looks like his tail angle is weird...

I dont know much about show quality Silkies though.

I think his tail looks like that cause the pose he is standing in

If you are in the market for a nice white roo with good genes I would get him. His comb is a little big but paired with very small combed girls it should be a great breeder bird. She has very nice silkies.

I want to add also that big combs are not the end of the world if you are using as a breeder bird, my Fuzzy Apple (the name of my white roo) has a larger more red than I would like comb but he is paired with really nice hens and throws some stunning chicks. I only see his reddish comb pop up in maybe 15% of the chicks the rest are mulberry to black and much smaller. His offspring look much better than he does but I love him SO much that I refuse to replace him although I will be keeping a very nice SQ boy from this years hatches from a differnet line and raise it with him in hopes that they can live together and I could add a better quality roo to the flock.
