I have had chickens lots of years..i never let one or had one go broody. now I have two hens sitting and I didn't write down date and cant remember when they started.. I think more than two weeks... well they sit in the cornor right beside each other..i don't know how many there each sitting on. I thought maybe if I steal one egg I could candle or see it to maybe see ?? jwhat ya think?? jeff..

my main concern is that they are ok after hatching...I have one favourale rooster and 11 other hens...but they don't peck each other so much..the order is good...just hope the two hens protect the chicks ...

Your hens seem to be good mama's at this point. I would trust them to care for the chicks and deal with any problems if they arise. As long as the mama's are accepted as part of the flock then their chicks should be as well.

that's what I thought..these two BO hens seem toward top of order as they have nice feathers and such..thanks for vote of confidence..jeff
