Very often. Sometimes we got referred to by our number, so I was "number 3".

I have one son and one step son who is older and lives in VA. Anyways, even with just one kid at home, I call my son his cousin's names sometimes! And I've called my dog the family dog's name, who's been dead quite a few years now
