Maybe I misunderstood this:

"run" is just an open air enclosure with chicken wire that is attached to the coop.

Open air mean no roof? Chicken wire is not predator proof.

If the injured hen is sleeping 24/7 I would be leery of predicting a recovery? You might look for some older birds right now. Some people do not like to introduce birds to your flock, but others like me, have done so many times.
